Postgraduate School Molecular Medicine: European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)

ECTS
The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System or ECTS is a European credit system for higher education. It is a student-oriented system based on the assumed workload of the PhD-student required to achieve the objectives of a PhD-programme.

The Postgraduate School Molecular Medicine
The postgraduate School Molecular Medicine has decided to let their courses and workshops qualify for ECTS credit points. On the certificates of participation ECTS-points will therefore be mentioned.
These ECTS are based on the rule that 28 study hours (including reading, preparations and self-study) equals 1 ECTS.
We also advise PhD-students in general to set up an education plan with their supervisors reflecting 30 ECTS (or 840 study hours) worth of education for their entire PhD-project, as is also advised within the Erasmus MC.
