The Edges of Science - A Symposium on the Future of Biomedical Research: The rapid progress in biomedical research during the last decades has gifted us with technologies and treatments no one could have even imagined a century ago. Now it is time to look into the future: what do researchers envision for the development in their field and which upcoming technologies will accelerate research?

On May 17th SURE, the student union for the five research masters at the Erasmus MC will hold a symposium with speakers from clinics and research on the “Edges of Science: Visions of the Future in Biomedical Research”
(see attached poster). The symposium will deliver a glance at the cutting edge of biomedicine, from fundamental to applied science, and discuss the implications of novel technologies on society.

The symposium takes place on May 17th, from 9:00 to 16:30 at Querido hall in the new education centre at the Erasmus MC. Participation is free, the symposium will conclude with a borrel.
