Dear colleagues.

It's a pleasure to me to invite you to the next, 2nd, Daniel den Hoed Day that will be organized on: Wednesday October 30st in room Ae 4.06.
This after the successful, first one organized last year.

Introduction
The DdH Day will be organized to highlight all the cancer research within Erasmus MC: basic, translational and patient oriented; and to get more contact and cooperation between all the researchers and MD's involved. So, the topics and themes of the Day can be part of any Theme within Erasmus MC. It will be organized again by the Postgraduate School MolMed, like last year, but is open for all researchers and MDs who are interested.

Improved program
We discussed the organization with Pieter Sonneveld, who took the initiative for this day last year. As a consequence of last year's evaluation, there will be some changes in the programming:

- the day will be a bit shorter; we will start at 11.00 am and end around 16.00 pm, after which drinks are offered;
- every talk will take 15': 10' talk, plus 5' for Q&A and change of screen;
- so we have the opportunity to schedule 15 or 16 talks at most;
- the program of the day will be organized according to 3 main themes: basic, translational and patient oriented;
- these themes will be chaired by researchers who can cover it.

Abstract
You are cordially invited to send in an abstract with a title of a talk for this Day. Please send it to me by email before: Monday, October 7th at 12 am, latest.
The evaluation of the abstracts to be gives as a talk will be done that week by Pieter Sonneveld and Roland Kanaar. At the end of that week, the program will be finalized and you will be informed about it.

Registration is free of charge.

You are all cordially invited to register for the DdH Day.

On behalf of the DdH Day Organizing Committee,

Dr. Frank van Vliet

Managing Director MolMed
Managing Director Research Master I&I
