The Erasmus Postgraduate School Molecular Medicine has two main activities: the organization of education for postgraduate students; and the stimulation of cooperation between several departments with regards to translational research

Trajectory of five workshops

Together with Access It Training we organize five workshops on: Access (basic,  advanced and Audit Trail in MS Access) and on Excel (basic and advance)

These workshops follow each other in evolutionary fashion:

With Microsoft Access you will to set up and manage a database.
With Microsoft Excel you will learn to use this database for functions and formulas

Workshop on Audit Trail in MS Access
On Thursday 24 March 2016 we will organize the Audit Trail in MS Access workshop

Time: 9.30 - 17.00

Location: Computer room at the Bioinformatics dept., Ee-1528.

Maximum no. of participants: 9

Teacher: Carlo v.d. Zon, Access It Training

Course Objective

Your data is important. In fact, it's critical to your business. Entering, storing, and maintaining valid data is the most important job of any database. When you're the only one using the database, you can limit mistakes. However, when multiple users are changing data, a lot can go wrong. You might want to keep an audit trail of data input changes. In other words, you might want to know who's changing data and when. Tracking changes!

In this workshop we’ll create an log table, using  MS Access, VBA and SQL.
Morning session: create an sample audit trail.
Afternoon session: create an audit trail using your own database.

Audience

For this workshop you should have followed our workshops in Access & Access advanced, or have a comparable knowledge of Access
