The Erasmus Postgraduate School Molecular Medicine has two main activities: the organization of education for postgraduate students, and the stimulation of cooperation between several departments with regards to translational research.

 

The Virology department of Erasmus MC organized the Virology Course for many years now. From 2012, it is organized with and under auspices of the Postgraduate School Molecular Medicine (MolMed). The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of fundamental and translational virus research.

 

The course in virology is organised for PhD students, post-docs and medical microbiologists, who are invited to participate. During the course, national and international experts in the field of virology will present seminars. Relevant literature will be made available at the start of the course. The venue is Erasmus MC, Room Ae 406.

PhD students, post-docs and medical microbiologists are invited to register.

Registration is only possible on-line. The number of people that can participate in this course is limited to 70. Participants will receive a confirmation upon registration.

Attendance fees

The non-commercial registration fee for this course is € 600,00.

Discounts are handled as follows:

  • All PhD students get a discount of 50% and pay €300.
  • All participants from the postgraduate school MolMed receive a discount of 100% and pay €0.
  • Other Erasmus MC participants and master students from elsewhere get a discount of 50% and pay €300.
  • Master students from elsewhere who pay the fee from their personal budget get a discount of 75% and pay €150,00.

The location of the course is Room Ae-406 on the fourth floor of the Ae-building (the Medical Faculty of Erasmus MC).

ECTS

For this course you will receive a certificate of attendance with 1,8 ECTS for full participation 

 

Invoices

Fees can be paid upon an INVOICE. Shortly after your registration you will receive from us an INVOICE per mail. Payment details will be mentioned on the invoice. Late participants can also pay in cash upon signing in for the Course.

 

Cancellations

The fee is for the entire Course. There is no discount for partaking only in part of the Course. Our cancellation policy is that cancellation is possible up to one week before the start of the Course. Later cancellation will not be accepted, however you are allowed to send a substitute candidate.

Financial regulation of the Postgraduate School Molmed

From August 1st, 2012 the following financial rules apply:

Non-commercial course, symposium or workshop fee:€200/day, €750/week

• Participants of the postgraduate school MolMed: discount of 100%.
• Other Erasmus MC participants, e.g. of MGC, COEUR, NIHES: discount of 50%.
• PhD students and Master’s students, regardless of institution: discount of 50%.
• Master’s students who are paying the fee from their personal budget: discount of 75%.

There is one fee for the entire course. There is no reduction for partial participation.

The SPSS Course and the R Course have shorter course days. The SPSS Course counts as a 2-days course and the R Course as a 3-days course.

Commercial participants & sponsors: companies are invited to inquire about commercial participant tuition fees and about sponsoring.

Those who register for a course, symposium or workshop agree with these financial conditions.
