The Erasmus Postgraduate School Molecular Medicine has two main activities: the organization of education for postgraduate students; and the stimulation of cooperation between several departments with regards to translational research.

Trajectory of four workshops

Together with Access It Training we organize four workshops on: Access (basic and advanced) and on Excel (basic and advance).
These workshops follow each other in evolutionary fashion:

  • With Microsoft Access you will to set up and manage a database.
  • With Microsoft Excel you will learn to use this database for functions and formulas.

Workshop on Microsoft Access 2012: Advanced

On Thursday 6 October, 2016 we will organize the Advanced workshop on Microsoft Access 2010.

Detailed program

You will design and create a new Access database; improve queries, create advanced forms, and reports; and integrate Access 2010 with other applications.

Target Student: The advanced course is for the individual whose responsibilities include creating new databases, tables, and relationships, as well as working with and revising advanced-level queries, forms, and reports.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Control data entry by modifying the design of a table to streamline data entry and maintain data integrity.
  • Find and retrieve desired data by using filters and joins between tables and within a single table.
  • Create flexible queries to display specified records; allow for user-determined query criteria; and add, update, and delete data with queries.
  • Enhance the appearance, data entry, and data access capabilities of your forms.
  • customize reports to better organize the displayed information

Prerequisite
Please note that you can only participate in this course when you have attended the Access Basic course

Participation in this course is 0,4 ECTS.

Registration fee

The subscription fee of non-commercial participants for the Course is € 200. When you are paying from your personal budget you need to provide us your personal address details
Discounts are handled as followed:
  • PhD students get a discount of 50% and pay €100
  • Only participants from the postgraduate school MolMed get a discount of 100% and pay €0.
  • Master students from elsewhere who pay the fee from their personal budget get a discount of 75% and pay €50.


PAYMENT: MGC Notification

The Erasmus/LUMC Research School MGC has made a selection of courses it deems fit for its members. This course is not one of them.

Therefore, the Erasmus/LUMC Research School MGC will not pay for its members to participate in this course. All MGC-members will need to pay themselves (or from personal budget) after receiving an invoice (please provide personal address) or will have their research departments pay for them (in that case, please provide ‘kostenplaatsnummer’ of the research group). General information
Financial regulation of the Postgraduate School Molmed

From August 1st, 2012 the following financial guidelines are applied in general, but they may differ per course still, look at the course fee of each course to be sure which discounts are really applied:

Non-commercial course, symposium or workshop fee: €200/day, €750/week

• Participants of the postgraduate school MolMed: discount of 100%.
• PhD students and Master’s students, regardless of institution: discount of 50%.
• Master’s students who are paying the fee from their personal budget: discount of 75%.

There is one fee for the entire course. There is no reduction for partial participation.

The SPSS Course and the R Course have shorter course days. The SPSS Course counts as a 2-days course and the R Course as a 3-days course.

Commercial participants & sponsors: companies are invited to inquire about commercial participant tuition fees and about sponsoring.

Those who register for a course, symposium or workshop agree with these financial conditions.
