Program Course Microbiomics I

Microbiomics I - Course Summary

Thursday 25 and Friday 26 August, 2016

Teachers:

Dr. Robert Kraaij, Prof. dr. Andr Uitterlinden

Organiser:

Dr. Frank van Vliet

The analysis of microbial communities has been fueled by next generation sequencing techniques in the past decade. Microbiota - especially those of the gut - have now been linked to several diseases and traits. Analytical approaches, such as metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, metaproteomics and metabolomics, are evolving rapidly. This 2-day course aims to give an introduction (first day) and hands-on experience (second day) in techniques to profile microbiota as well as approaches to analysis these multi-dimensional datasets.
