This workshop is meant for any researcher who already uses R (you might be a beginner!) but who hasn't yet tapped into, or is just beginning to learn about, the usefulness of Bioconductor. The workshop will begin with a brief overview of RStudio, the graphical user interface used during the workshop, followed by instruction on how to explore, install, and get support for the plethora of databases and packages available in Bioconductor. When used appropriately, Bioconductor facilitates and strengthens the analysis of your biological data in R. Note, however, that due to time limitations and the diversity of the fields of potential participants, the workshop does not provide training on varying statistical methods to analyze specific types of data. Instead, come learn how to easily access those methods and databases that you may need or find useful for your research! The training will be held in a computer lab, but you may opt to use your own machine (must have internet access and must arrive with R already installed; preferably RStudio is also installed).

From 14:00 - 17:00 hours
